The Garden Design Diploma - A master class every day
Our one year Garden Design Diploma programme is the first garden design course aimed at providing a master class every day for its students. The Diploma is led by Andrew Wilson, widely acknowledged as one of the UK’s leading garden design lecturers, who has been at the forefront of garden design teaching in the UK and overseas, for some 20 years.

We’ve taken a new, fresh approach by arming students with professional skills not always offered at other more traditional colleges. As well as core design and plant skills we provide intensive business and construction teaching so that students can launch successful businesses as soon as they graduate.
The Garden Diploma Course starts in September of each academic year.
- Two days contact time per week plus personal study time over a period of 34 weeks, divided into three academic terms.
- Through lectures, studio work and practical on-site training students are taken through foundation skills to professional design communication skills.
- As well as design and plant skills students will be equipped with business and construction skills to support their business aspirations.
- All teaching staff will also be practitioners in their particular field enabling students to learn from their experience as well as their teaching.
- Students benefit from exclusive guest tutor days from some of the world’s leading designers
Director of Garden Design Studies Andrew Wilson says “Our aim is to provide the best professional garden design course on the market where students can learn from the very best in the profession every day.” And with the support of many of the world’s leading garden designers we are often able to introduce students to immediate work placements and design positions.
In keeping with the international student body of Regent’s College we welcome students on our landscape design diploma and courses from both the UK and overseas.
