The UK's leading garden design school combines the experience of three of the UK’s leading garden professionals. All three are successful garden designers in their own right with many design awards between them and extensive teaching experience.
Andrew is widely acknowledged as one of the UK’s leading garden design lecturers. He has been at the forefront of garden design teaching in the UK and overseas, for some 25 years and now teaches exclusively at our garden design school. Based in Surrey, England he is an RHS show gardens judge and a former Chairman of the Society of Garden Designers. He has won many awards including two Society of Garden Designers Awards in 2013.
Andrew writes regular columns for Gardens Illustrated alongside a series of books, including the No 1 Bestseller RHS Small Garden Handbook, Contemporary Colour in the Garden, Influential Gardeners, The Book of Garden Plans and the Book of Plans for Small Gardens. Mark has been at the forefront of professional landscape contracting for 30 years. His company Landform is involved with some of the UK’s most cutting edge domestic and commercial landscape schemes and has won numerous major national awards.
Mark has built over 70 RHS Show gardens, over 40 at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, and is an RHS show garden judge. He has unrivalled technical experience and knowledge that he brings to the garden design school and he lectures widely in the landscape design and construction professions.
Andrew is well known for creating gardens and landscapes around the world. He has won many awards for his work in a number of countries including Australia, the USA and New Zealand as well as the UK.
Andrew is a Fellow and former Chair of the Society of Garden Designers, the UK's professional body for garden design and is a Fellow designate of the Chartered Institute of Horticulture. He is Chairman of the RHS selection panel for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show and has been a visiting lecturer at The Victoria & Albert Museum, London and The Smithsonian in Washington DC amongst other places.
