LCGD Autumn Info Bursts – Colour, Texture and Tone – New Planting Designers B

OUR LCGD AUTUMN INFO BURSTS – Colour, Texture and Tone – New Planting Designers

For the Autumn of 2021 our new season of info bursts will speak to 4 young Designers/Garden Designers who are making a mark through their planting designs.

Over 4 evenings our designers will talk about their work and especially how they approach their planting designs. We’ll explore their ideas for new planting and find out more about particular projects and why they are important to their planting development.

There will be time at the end to ask your questions in conversation with Andrew Fisher Tomlin, Course Leader for our Planting Design Diploma.

THIS SEASON’S INFO BURSTS WILL RAISE FUNDS FOR GREENFINGERS – CREATING MAGICAL GARDENS FOR CHILDREN IN HOSPICES

Each Info Burst session is at the end of your working day so that you can have the evening free. We start promptly at 5pm with a presentation from our designers and then time for questions finishing at 6.30pm .

Our Info Bursts are all delivered remotely via online webinar and you will be sent an access code before the event. Each event counts as 1.5 hours CPD.

Tuesday 12th October – Ulla Maria

Ula Maria is an award-winning garden designer and landscape architect. She attended the School of Fine Arts in Lithuania before moving to England permanently in 2008. She studied a BA and MA in Landscape Architecture at BCU, where she was awarded the Landscape Institute’s John Knight award for both her undergraduate and postgraduate major projects.

Since graduating, Ula has worked for a number of Landscape practices, including that of Tom Stuart-Smith, prior to entering and winning the RHS Young Designer of the Year competition where she received a gold medal for her garden in 2017. Since then she has established her own practice.

Ula seeks to create meaningful designs by a sensitive approach to an existing space. Her particular interest is in creating emotive garden spaces that evoke innate connections to nature through memories, senses, and experiences. Ula has recently completed Design Series for Gardens Illustrated and is an author of ‘Green – Simple Ideas for Small Outdoor Spaces’.
