Sarah Croud
My design ethos is based on Biophilic beliefs and strategy. Biophilic meaning a love of nature, or a love of living. For me, garden design is in the ability to understand and perfect the use of light, colours and textures to create movement, stimulate the senses I want my clients to really ‘feel’ their garden as a living entity, for it to provide them with a deeply engaging, beneficial and immersive experience.
Biography:
I started my garden design studies at Writtle College and have many years experience working as a garden designer. I work mainly in Essex and occasionally in London and Europe. I recently attained a certificate in Construction Design Drawing from LCGD and I am working towards becoming a biophilic design consultant.
I have been an RHS volunteer at RHS Chelsea Flower Show for 5 years, I am involved with two local community garden projects, one of which has been awarded National Lottery Heritage Fund support. In 2017 a front garden I designed and built won the award for best sustainable garden from Chelmsford City Council.
I am a coastal girl at heart, having always lived by the sea, be it in Essex, Dorset or Jersey. I currently live in Westcliff on Sea, Essex with my Husband and children.
