Andrew Fisher Tomlin, Director of Environmental Design at the London College of Garden Design, has been awarded the RHS Elizabeth Medal of Honour in recognition of his outstanding contribution to Horticulture. The award will be presented at a ceremony on Tuesday 24^th March 2026.

There has been keen interest in our brand new plant-based course, the Certificate in Plantsmanship since it was launched in February. The course will teach the essential skills, knowledge and techniques of plantsmanship. It will run at our home in Kew Gardens from 25 September – 5 December 2025 with additional garden visits outside of Kew, and is perfect for anyone with a passion for plants and a desire to enhance their existing horticultural plant knowledge.

The London College of Garden Design has teamed up with the Royal Horticultural Society to create a new planting feature, “All About Asteraceae: the plant family with flower power” for this year’s RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival. Planted by recent graduates of the college, seven borders along Ditton Avenue will welcome visitors to the Festival and will showcase the wide variety and diversity of plants in the genus Asteraceae.

Katy also won the People’s Vote at the Belvoir Castle Flower & Garden Show with her design for a planted border that can support wild birds in our gardens by helping them forage for themselves and to improve biodiversity in our gardens (pictured).
