At LCGD we strongly believe in the power of our people – our students, graduates and tutors. Therefore as a result of the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation we have taken actions that prioritise our community, their families and their concerns.
Short courses and conferences that are shown below are expected to go ahead as planned, especially those that will be delivered online.
Following recommendations of the World Health Organisation and in keeping with the actions of the UK’s Higher Education Sector generally we have taken the decision to cancel all short course classroom-based training for the foreseeable future. Our students are able to continue working from home and we are continuing to operate by delivering our training via online and remote services.
We appreciate that the short courses promoted by other organisations that we work with may also be subject to change and we are working with them accordingly.
Whilst our Diplomas are aimed at professionals with long-term career development goals our short course programme is aimed at offering unique training opportunities seldom found anywhere else. We offer professional design development days for those already working in the profession as well as keen gardeners who want to develop their skills in design. Our courses are delivered at various venues across London including the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, Regent’s University in Regent’s Park and at RHS Wisley Garden in partnership with the Royal Horticultural Society.
Our courses represent great value for money and all are eligible as CPD hours. To enrol on any of these courses please visit the short courses page of our website lcgd.org.uk and make sure you are signed up for our newsletter as we regularly add courses to this schedule.
The Directors of the College are often speaking at other events and involved in many international shows so there is always an opportunity to meet and discuss the Garden Design Diploma or the Planting Design Diploma at these events – just contact us to let us know.
