Jamie Maguire
I aim to create thoughtful, elegant and liveable gardens designed to suit modern life and the changing environment we are all facing. Grounded in a deep love of nature and horticulture, each project is tailored to its unique setting using classic design foundations, sustainable materials and seasonal planting with a strong focus on biodiversity and climate resilience.
Biography:
After almost 20 years working as a commercial property lawyer in London, I retrained as a garden designer with the London College of Garden Design, graduating with Merit Commended in 2026.
Art and design have always been a passion – I studied Design Technology for A Level and History of Art at Edinburgh University. My years working as a solicitor taught me excellent project management, communication and problem solving skills which I will now bring with me into this new career.
I grew up in West Sussex and have loved being out in nature for as long as I can remember, whether that was helping my parents in their garden or happily wandering around RHS Wisley at the weekend with my four year old!
