Our new series of Info Bursts got off to a great start with a presentation on the Grey to Green landscape created in Sheffield. Alexa Ryan-Mills proposed that this design brining colour and sustainability to a city centre will change how we look at urban greening.

We are delighted to be supporting the Landscape Show 2022 in their second year at the NEC in Birmingham with an exciting series of talks across two days.

Over 10 years ago we invited some well-known garden personalities to choose their favourite new garden that had been created in the previous decade or so and pitch it as one of the gardens we will still be talking about as landmarks in garden design in 20 years time.

The winner of the Countryside Borders competition, sponsored by the London College of Garden Design has been announced as Katy Watson. Katy also won the People’s Vote at the Belvoir Castle Flower & Garden Show with her design for a planted border that can support wild birds in our gardens by helping them forage for themselves and to improve biodiversity in our gardens (pictured).

We were delighted to see Katherine Holland at this year’s RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival win a Silver medal for her garden ‘A Journey, in collaboration with Sue Ryder’ The garden tells a story about the range of thoughts and emotions that we confront when experiencing grief, and is designed to encourage conversation with the aim of supporting those who are grieving and the people close to them.

The Association of Professional Landscapers (APL) celebrated their annual awards in March and we were delighted to see that LCGD Graduates were successful in winning a number of awards.
