At LCGD we now run a series of sustainable design courses including a sustainability stream through our Planting Design Diploma. A key part of what we design into our gardens is the planting and there are many approaches we can take.

At LCGD we encourage sustainable design approaches in students’ work. There is now substantial and growing evidence for the physical and mental health benefits of spending time in the natural environment, although people, especially children are engaging less with nature.

The London College of Garden Design (LCGD) recently asked an international panel of speakers to choose their iconic garden of the previous decade that will, in their mind, be the gardens we will still be talking about as landmarks in garden design in 20 years-time.
